Beacon is one of the most abstract works in the series and grew from the feeling of a signal appearing deep within the forest.

The red form at the centre carries an echo of old fairy tales: the figure in the woods, the warning colour, the question of danger and protection. Yet the painting does not illustrate a story. It follows the emotional charge of such tales and asks why certain images stay with us for centuries.

For me, the red becomes a point of orientation. It may be a warning, a memory, a presence or a guide. In a landscape shaped by shadows and hidden stories, Beacon suggests that what first unsettles us may also be what leads us forward.
