Mist Rising was inspired by the moment when morning light begins to warm a birch forest and the mist slowly lifts from the ground.
For me, this rising moisture carries more than atmosphere. It suggests that the forest itself may be breathing, releasing traces of what it has held through the night, or perhaps through time. Memories seem to rise with the mist: indistinct, shifting and impossible to grasp completely.
The light in this work brings warmth and clarity without destroying the mystery. It does not force the hidden into view, but gently touches it. Mist Rising is about the beginning of a day, the return of hope, and the quiet feeling that something once buried may rise again.
